a. Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Password (securely encrypted)

b. Health & Profile Data

To generate personalised food verdicts, we collect:

  • Your health conditions (e.g. Diabetes, Gastritis, Hypertension, GERD, High Cholesterol, Gout, Celiac, Lactose Intolerance, or any custom condition you add)
  • Weight (kg) and height (cm)
  • Date of birth (used to calculate your age for the AI)

c. Scan Data

When you scan a meal or food item, we may store:

  • The scan type (meal photo, ingredients label, or text entry)
  • AI-generated verdicts, dish safety score, and meal insight
  • The date and time of your most recent scan

d. Subscription and Payment Information

Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not store or access your payment details — payment data is handled securely by Apple.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Generate personalised AI food verdicts based on your conditions, weight, and age
  • Save and display your most recent scan result
  • Track your daily scan streak
  • Provide customer support
  • Process subscriptions and manage your Pro membership
  • Improve app performance and AI recommendation quality
  • Schedule local notifications relevant to your streak (no server required)

Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted storage of account credentials
  • Secure servers with restricted access (Firebase / Firestore)
  • Industry-standard HTTPS communication

No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We do, however, implement industry-standard practices to safeguard your data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share data only:

  • With trusted service providers (e.g. Firebase for storage, OpenAI for AI processing, RevenueCat for subscription management)
  • If required by applicable law
  • To protect the rights or safety of users or third parties

Your health condition data is sent to our AI provider solely to generate your food verdicts. It is not used for any other purpose.

Account Deletion

You may request account deletion at any time by:

  • Using the in-app "Sign Out" option in Profile and contacting us to request deletion, or
  • Contacting us at support@nutricareai.app

When your account is deleted, your personal data, health conditions, and scan history will be permanently removed from our servers.

Health Data Disclaimer

NutriCare AI provides general wellness information based on widely accepted dietary guidelines. This is not medical advice. The app is submitted to the App Store under the Health & Fitness category, not Medical.

Always check with your doctor before making changes to your diet, especially if you are managing a chronic health condition.

Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
